Hopefully they will spark little memories in all of us. Susan bought us the books for a Christmas, I think, but then forgot to give them to the rest of us until John's welcome home party. Scared to write in the actual book Neil sent an Email to the girls to try and find a consensus as to where we were heading with this.

Hi Neil,

My thoughts on what you wrote: I think I will use Epping Avenue as the house.

I only vagueluy remember from America:

1) the taste of Halloween lollies: I am sure I can still remember the taste- I would love to try one to see if I am right!

2) You at the police station – I am sure they shut you in the cell as a joke and I started to cry!! 3) Us eating quartered oranges in someones kitchen and putting them across our teeth and smiling, looked like we had orange teeth.

My memories of Croydon are not much better:

1) Poor old Mum flattening the fence!!

2) Us in the double bed together.

3) The lady next door being frightened of storms and coming into our place to hide in the cupboard.I think she was on the other side to the one who gave us lollies and called mum Mrs Whats-your –name.

4) I think I remember walking home from school and some other kids coming with us – they live further down Brand St and we got to their place first.

As for Epping Avenue, I remember when we went to look at it before it was ours and how excited I was about the back yard!!1. I seem to remember it was like owning a bit of heaven!! Obviouslky I have always been a bushie at heart!
